Lizard skin is one of those luxurious materials that you sometimes find on handbags or fancy journals. When you find it, it’s usually time for a lot of ooh-ing and ahh-ing. When you find it on sunglasses, if you’re like me, you’ll be so excited that you won’t have any idea how to respond. These red and black lizard-trimmed sunglasses by Linda Farrow Luxe are so cool I can barely contain myself.
The shape is a great marriage of retro and modern. They have that great oversized appeal that’s been so popular the past few years, but it’s not too much. The corners come together in sort of an exaggerated cat eye shape, which brings attention to the red lizard skin. The textural contrast between the reptile skin and the shiny smooth acetate is amazing, but subtle enough that it’s not distracting.
