Sometimes high fashion is luxurious and amazing. Sometimes it’s so beautiful that it can make you feel totally different about your life. And sometimes it’s just…expensive. While these Prada Brogues have been a hit since they strutted down the runway, I just don’t have many good things to say about them. They took a classic Creeper style in conservative brown and added an athletic, striped platform. This combination of disparate styles does not, unfortunately, come together well.
Priced at around $900, these babies are a significant investment. But unless your wardrobe is fashioned around New York City club kid style circa the mid-90′s, I’m not really sure what you’re gonna wear with these. Prada sent them down the runway with a bunch of funky futuristic dresses, but honestly, they didn’t really work with those, either. I might skip these in lieu of some nice simple flip-flops.
